“What is John Ortberg doing now?”

In November of 2020, a few close friends of John Ortberg encouraged him to share daily short teachings. There wasn’t any plan beyond that; Become.New was a chance to learn and grow with a few friends.

Since the beginning the simplicity and format has connected to others who hunger to connect in a daily, deeper, more meaningful way with Jesus.

The belief at the core of what we do is that ‘the main thing God gets out of your life is the person you become.’ The strength at the core of what we do actually flows out of weakness: “I can’t. God can. I think I’ll let Him.” 

If you’ve come face to face with either personal inadequacy or a hunger for more life, Become New may be for you. We exist to encourage spiritual growth through simple, yet profound, daily conversations about Jesus.

What is Become New?

We’re so glad you’re here. Become New exists to help you grow spiritually, one day at a time.

The idea is simple: We send you daily devotionals with practical invitations on how to expand your faith. We’re a community of people all over the world who celebrate personal inadequacy, and we live by the motto, “I can’t. He can. I think I’ll let him.”

No, Become New is not a church. We are a ministry devoted to helping people grow spiritually.
